Terms & Conditions
Last updated: [17-07-2026]
These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations, orders and sales by Studio Vocum, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Studio Vocum designs and produces made-to-order ceramic loudspeakers and related audio objects. Each piece is individually crafted, finished, assembled and tested.
1. Prices
For business customers, trade clients, galleries, architects, interior designers and other professional clients, all prices are stated in EUR and exclude VAT, duties, customs charges, levies, shipping, insurance, delivery and installation costs, unless expressly stated otherwise.
For private consumers within the European Union, prices will be communicated in EUR including VAT where applicable. Any additional costs, including delivery, installation, insurance, customs duties or optional services, will be clearly communicated before an order becomes binding.
Prices are valid for orders confirmed in writing by Studio Vocum on or before 30 September 2026. From 1 October 2026, prices may change. Confirmed orders remain subject to the price stated in the written order confirmation.
2. Orders and Payment
All Studio Vocum loudspeakers are made to order.
A 50% advance payment is required before fabrication begins. The remaining final payment is required before shipping, delivery or collection.
An order becomes binding only after written confirmation by Studio Vocum and receipt of the agreed advance payment.
3. Fabrication Time
The standard fabrication time is approximately 6 weeks from receipt of the advance payment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Fabrication times are estimates. Because Studio Vocum products involve ceramic production, glazing, firing, assembly and testing, production times may vary. Studio Vocum will inform the client of any significant delay as soon as reasonably possible.
4. Handmade Ceramic Production
Due to the nature of the ceramic firing process, slight variations in size, colour, glaze, surface, texture and finish are inherent to each piece.
These variations are part of the handmade character of Studio Vocum products and do not constitute defects.
Product images, colour samples and descriptions are provided as accurately as possible, but may vary slightly depending on screen settings, lighting conditions and the ceramic production process.
5. Custom Colours and Glazes
Custom colours are available upon request and may involve additional fees.
All standard Studio Vocum glazes have been specifically designed and matched for the Vocum series. Custom colour development is not included in the standard product price, unless expressly agreed in writing.
Any additional costs for custom colour development will be communicated before the order becomes binding.
6. Installation, Consultation and Wall Mounting
Installation costs are excluded from the product price, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Studio Vocum can provide installation services and/or audiovisual design services for an additional fee upon request.
All speaker purchases include a consultation to discuss the installation, the intended space, the client’s wishes, and any modifications or features that may be advisable for the location in which the loudspeakers will be installed.
All Vocum 21″ loudspeakers include a wall mount bracket.
The client is responsible for ensuring that the wall, mounting surface, electrical connections and installation location are suitable for the product, unless Studio Vocum has been expressly appointed to assess or carry out the installation.
7. Audio Content and Composition
Providing audio content, music, sound design or compositions is not included in the product price.
Studio Vocum can curate, design or compose audio content for an additional fee upon request.
8. Certification and Compliance Outside Europe
When ordering in countries where Vocum products are not certified for installation or use, including outside Europe, additional fees may be required for compliance, certification, adaptation, documentation or local technical requirements.
Any such costs will be communicated before the order becomes binding, where they are known in advance.
9. Shipping, Delivery and Risk
Shipping, delivery, customs, duties, levies and insurance costs are excluded unless expressly stated otherwise in the written order confirmation.
Delivery arrangements will be agreed in writing.
If the client appoints their own carrier or transport service, the risk passes to the client when the product is handed over to that carrier. If Studio Vocum arranges transport, risk passes in accordance with the agreed delivery terms.
The client should inspect the product upon delivery and notify Studio Vocum as soon as possible of any visible damage, missing parts or delivery issues. In case of transport damage, photographs of the packaging and product should be provided.
10. Warranty and Legal Guarantee
Studio Vocum provides a 2-year warranty on its products, subject to normal use and correct installation.
This warranty covers defects in materials, workmanship and technical function under normal conditions of use. It does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, accidents, unauthorised modification, unsuitable mounting surfaces, inappropriate environmental conditions, transport by a carrier appointed by the client, or use contrary to Studio Vocum’s instructions.
For private consumers in the European Union, this warranty does not limit or replace any mandatory legal guarantee rights. EU consumer law provides a minimum 2-year legal guarantee for faulty goods or goods that do not conform to what was agreed.
11. Custom-Made Products and Right of Withdrawal
Studio Vocum products are made to order and may be custom-made or clearly personalised, including products made in a specific colour, finish, configuration or specification requested by the client.
For private consumers purchasing at a distance, a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal may apply to standard, non-personalised products. However, this right of withdrawal does not apply to custom-made or clearly personalised products. Studio Vocum will inform the client before the order becomes binding where this exception applies. EU and Dutch business guidance both stress that the consumer must be informed about withdrawal rights before or during the purchase process.
12. Use and Care
Studio Vocum products must be used and maintained in accordance with the technical specifications, installation instructions and care guidance provided by Studio Vocum.
The products are designed for indoor use unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
Studio Vocum is not responsible for damage resulting from unsuitable environmental conditions, excessive humidity, exposure to water, incorrect electrical connection, incorrect audio configuration, impact, misuse or unauthorised repair.
13. Intellectual Property
All designs, product names, images, texts, drawings, technical documentation, colour concepts, glaze developments, audio concepts and visual materials remain the intellectual property of Studio Vocum or its licensors, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
No material may be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission from Studio Vocum.
14. Liability
Studio Vocum is not liable for indirect damage, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, consequential damage or damage resulting from incorrect installation, misuse, unauthorised modification or use contrary to instructions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes liability where such limitation or exclusion is not permitted under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rights.
15. Complaints
Any complaint should be submitted in writing to Studio Vocum at:
[hello @studiovocum.com]
Please include the client’s name, order number, a description of the issue and, where relevant, photographs.
Studio Vocum will respond as soon as reasonably possible.
16. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law.
For private consumers, this does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in the consumer’s country of residence within the European Union.
