The jury praised the collaboration between ceramic artist Pierluigi Pompei and acoustician Adam Foxwell, highlighting their shared vision of creating loudspeakers that transcend traditional audio design. The Vocum series was recognised as a successful fusion of contemporary design, exceptional sound performance and handcrafted ceramics.

The jury also recognised the role of colour in the project, inspired by Pierluigi Pompei's synaesthesia, where musical tones are experienced as colours. This unique relationship between sound, material and perception has become one of the defining characteristics of Studio Vocum.

Receiving the Masterly Milano Award represents an important milestone in the development of Studio Vocum and reinforces the studio's commitment to creating collectible objects where craftsmanship, design and music come together.
